Black Lake in Thurston County is 575 acres, and homes a wide range of fish such as bluegill, trout, bass, and perch. The water temperatures are on the warmer side, and can host a large variety of plants especially in the summer months. There is a year round open fishing season and wild brush around parts of the lake.
Mike Carey and Bob Johansen spent a beautiful day fishing on this pleasant lake. There was a good amount of weeds in the water when they went at the end of summer, but they did find good water on the northwest side of the lake a caught a few bass.
