This scenic lake near Mt. Vernon is a serene place to spend a day out on the water. The launch is rough and sandy in spots so bigger boats beware. Also, watch out for the winds which can get whipping up this long lake. Check out the south end lily pads for some big fish!
Big Lake is one of Mike Carey's favorite lakes to visit. There are some large bass in this lake and a ton of nice habitat all around. The lake has a very good reputation for trout and crappie, also.
